Theme and Selection:

Inspired by Nature 2018” – All submitted works must reflect or present nature as a source of inspiration, whether it is a simple object of nature or a world vista. The artist’s focus should enhance our appreciation and respect for the environment’s delicate balance, as it protects and ensures the survival of our planet.

Artists and their creations often reflect societies’ communal traits, structures, decisions, and cultural principles. They can encourage and bring forth a greater understanding of humans’ impact upon the planet and the splendid rewards which rise above and defeat negative forces through positive choices. From the beginning of human history, artists have provided a record of their feelings and observations as they reflect upon an unspoiled world’s wonders and envision an optimistic future.

The judges for this art call are looking for the following criteria: vision or concept, quality of execution in the medium, and the use of composition to communicate their message. Submissions for consideration can be expressed in any of the following aspects: representational, expressionism, surrealism, or abstraction.
